How to follow trades of a real trader
You do not need to find every trade yourself. There are three practical ways to follow an experienced trader, each with a different balance between time, control and learning.
1. Copy trades automatically
With copy trading your broker account mirrors every trade of the strategy you follow. It takes no time once set up and works while you sleep. You give up some control in exchange for convenience. I offer my XAUUSD gold strategy this way on Vantage Markets.
2. Follow Telegram trading signals
In a Telegram trading group you receive signals and place the trades yourself. You stay in full control and learn a lot, but you have to be available during the day. The group I recommend is FredTrading by Fred Frost.
3. Watch trades live
On my Kick stream I try to have an active setup on screen and explain it. You decide whether you want in with your own money, and you can ask questions in the chat or via donations.
Which way should you choose?
| Copy trading | Telegram signals | Live stream | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Time needed | Almost none | Check during the day | While streaming |
| Execution | Automatic | Manual | Manual |
| Learning | Medium | High | High |
| Control | Medium | Full | Full |
FAQ
What is the easiest way to follow a trader?
Copy trading, because every trade is executed automatically in your own account once you set it up.
Can I follow trades and still learn?
Yes. Compare every copied trade or signal with what you would have done and review it in a journal.
